Cleaning out your craft room makes more room for new craft supplies!

Hello!

So we are having a garage sale in June so I have been cleaning out the house and then I came to my craft room....ooooh man. It was a mess. So I have spent the last three night in there throwing things away, putting things into the garage sale boxes and re-organizing. Then I picked up the new Michael's Ad and suddenly there were so many good deals, I couldn't pass them up. So I came home with all new craft supplies, but hey, at least it is all organized now right?

So first I bought this:
It was on clearance for a 1.25. It now holds my fabrics and fabric scraps. Yeah, it says St. Patrick's Day on it, but soon I will cover it with fabric or something and it will look awesome, it is on my "craft to do list".

So this is what I saw in the Ad that caught my eye:

Ribbon! 5 for a dollar. So I went and bought 3 dollars worth and now I have a full ribbon supply. Plus I bought some extra green an red because during Christmas time I always need ribbon. Then I found this:

It's the cutest cupcake box ever. Someone's Birthday gift will be in this lovely box sometime soon. I figured a cute necklace or some type of jewelry in there would be cute. Plus I saw little cup cake boxes at Michael's and this would look so cute in there, it would look like a real cupcake :) I'll update about it once I actually have a birthday and I use it. It was a dollar in the dollar bins, and I adore it. I also saw these in the Ad:

You get 20 sponge brushes for a dollar. They have this in their ads maybe every other month or something but I go through them more than I can buy them, so I always go and buy them. (a side note you can by just one thing of ribbon for 20 cents and you can buy one sponge brush for 5 cents. Michael's doesn't actually make you buy the 20 for a dollar or 5 for a dollar, so that always nice)

Then I found this cute little owl in the dollar bin too. I love owls. I'm not sure why. It had green in it and it matched this bag I had at home. I was really sick of the bag and it was on my craft list of things to do...I just wanted to spruce it up a little bit. So I just ironed this baby on.....
and now I have a really cute bag. Im in love with it. I've had iron ons before that were awful but for a dollar this one was good. It actually looks and feels like it was originally on the bag!
Last but not least....I found the above fabric at a Thrift store. It's actually Curtains but they were brand new in the bag from jcpenny. Its a really nice fabric, its heavy and I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. Its about 3 yards of fabric and I got it for 1.50 so I couldn't pass it up!

Happy shopping & Happy crafting!

  2. The cupcake box could be a gift on its own, it's so cute.

Thanks for the tip on the sponge brushes. I've never noticed them on sale for only 5 cents. Will definitely be watching for that.
