So I have a secret to share about myself....I am a quote-a-holic. I love quotes. I write them on post-it notes and I put them all over the place. Some inspire me, some pick me up on a bad day, some I can relate to, some I hope to relate to someday, and some just simply take me back to a time or a place in my past, or somewhere I hope to be in the future. I was reading the newest Sookie Stackhouse Novel by Charlene Harris and I came across something that really hit close to home for me. I wanted to share the passage and see what you think:

"Do you think people can change Sam?"

"That's a pretty big question, Sookie. People can turn themselves around to some extent, sure. Addicts can be strong enough to stop using whatever they're addicted to. People can go to therapy and learn how to manage behavior that's been out of control. But that's an external system. A learned management technique imposed on the natural order of things, on what the person really is- an addict. Does that make sense? So, on the whole, I'd have to say no, people don't change ,but they can learn to behave differently. I want to believe otherwise...So,If you have an argument that says I'm wrong, I'd be glad to hear it."

So, What so you think? Can people change...REALLY change? Or is this quote accurate. I always thought people could change but after reading this, it really made sense, it really made me think.

One Week and Counting!

Hello All!

So, student teaching starts in one week. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, I would also be lying if I said I didn't feel ready. I really do feel ready for this challenge! I do however know, that this will be a challenge. I have to write a letter of introduction about myself to give to my student's parents at our open house next Monday. As some of my readers are parents, I ask the question: What would you want to know about the student teacher teaching in your child's classroom?

I am all to aware of first impressions, and this has caused my closet to be in a frenzy looking for that perfect outfit that says "I'm young, but I am responsible, hard working, well put together, and capable of teaching your child." That is a lot for one outfit to say, so I am stressing :)

I met my Supervising teaching last week and he is amazing and very welcoming! We are meeting again this week and hopefully I can get my desk put together, my letter to my parents, and my first lesson plan done before then!

I am considering a remodel of this dusty, mildly gross, unattractive, desk in our garage. I am going to set to work on it and hopefully post pictures of the process soon! Until then, this soon to be student teacher is signing off!

So I have this weird obsession with purses. Yes, I love a good hand bag as much as the next girl, but what I really love is to know what is in other peoples' purses! So, I am going to be brave and give you the uncensored view of what is in my purse, in hopes that you will return the favor on your own blog! Beware, my purse is huge so it fits everything but the kitchen sink!

Hello Ladies!

I have felt very welcome coming back into the blogging world! So thanks so much!

First note of business...Revamp? Do I need a revamp?

Do I still clearance shop....YES! Of course I do. Is it all I am? Is it all I want to talk about on my blog? Not so much. I want to branch out a little. I want to talk a little bit more about my life, and A little bit more about things that interests me, and places I travel to, and of course.....shopping :) Shopping will always be something I love, but I feel older and wiser after the last year and everything I have been through, I feel like I want to talk about more than just shopping.

Also, Dont telling shopping....but I have found a new love....TEACHING! I want to talk a little bit more about teaching as well. I was always uncertain about whether I really want to be a teacher or not...but last year I really fell in love with it, I really became interesting in learning from other teachers and become the best teacher I can be!

Have I scared you off? I hope not!

With that...I feel like I need a new blog design! I might even need a new blog name! Who knows, but I am going to be seriously looking into a new design and picking a name is always hard, so it might stay the same and it might change! I have not decided yet!

So hang in there with me until I find my new....shall we say....groove :)

Hello!

Can you believe it has been a year since I last updated this blog! It use to be my favorite thing in the world, but sadly school and life took me away from it....for waaaay too long!

School has been going good! I finished my last semester of classes in May! I start student teaching in a few weeks! That is so exciting! I graduate in December!

Life has taken many twist and turns over the last year. I have ended up in a spot way different then I imagined I would! That is for sure.

I plan on updating more. I'm still planning on showing you all of my deals, but also maybe just some cool things I find along the way that I want to share! I shop less now...I think that is just a part of me being so busy with school....and also being a broke student. :)

If anyone still reads this blog...I appreciate you! I cannot wait to get back to reading some of my favorite blogs as well!

So I know one just ended but here is another giveaway already!

I got the chance (thanks to General Mills and My Blog Spark!) to try some new sweet and salty snacks! I also got a Bugles T-shirt and a Travel mug!

My husband and I each had the chance to try one of each of the following snacks:

Cocoa Puff Treats

My favorite was the Hot and Buffalo Flavored Bugles! They were so spicy and yummy! The husband liked the Cocoa Puff Treats. I liked them too. They were super rich and yummy!
The granola bars were neither of our favorites. I prefer a softer granola bar, but they still were good and I would buy them again if I were in the mood for some dark chocolate!

We really enjoyed our package of treats and now one of my readers can enjoy these same treats!

So, It's that time of the year again!

Summer!!

So, I am back! And I'm ready to start off with deals!

I found these little butterfly dishes a week ago at Goodwill! They are so cute!
They were 1.99 each.They were the color of the week, so I got them for .99 cents each.

I think I will use them to put jewelery in. Rings in the small one and bracelets in the bigger one. They say they are from Italy. I can't make out the name of who made them. I will try to make it out and research it a little bit. I will let you know what I find out!

I know plaid is popular right now, but I always feel like farmer Jane. I found this cute plaid, and it was a bright shade of blue and it looked girlie and it's a little fitted, so I bought it. I really actually love it! The arms are 3/4 length and I am really glad I bought it! It still had the tags on. It was 29.50 from some store I have never heard of. I got it at Goodwill for 3.99. Love it!

Mostly, I have lost my digital camera....temporarily...I hope. So that is part of the lack of blogging. Also, I might be in a little bit of a blogging rut, and lastly I just might be completely overwhelmed with school.

Hello!

So my birthday is about 2 1/2 weeks away! It might not be exciting to get older for lots of people, but my family has always made birthdays a pretty special thing, and my friends are always super great to me as well, so I love my birthday!

I'm now going to admit my age.... I'm going to be 24...GASP!
I never thought I'd be older than 18 and here I am going on 24!

So, I wanted to show you some really cool gadgets that I have found lately! You could call this a birthday wish list of sorts....or you could just call is an "Awesome stuff roundup!"

First is my favorite! It is only $14 dollar which made me instantly want to buy it, but the shipping is $8 so I put it on hold, but I think it is amazing:
It is a candle stick that is actually a lighter for real candles! I always have a hard time finding our candle lighter, but if it is part of your decor in your house, you will never have to go searching in a drawer for it! This is number one on my list of must have useless things!!!! Love it!

I really really really want this series of books! I have the one shown above, but I do not have the others! I have no idea if they are good or not, so don't think I am telling you to go out and buy them for yourself, but I want to read them badly as soon as I finish The Sookie Stackhouse series!

I have wanted this cupcake necklace for a while! They discontinued them right before Christmas so of course it did not make my Christmas list, but they are back! I love this hot pink color, but there are a few other colors to choose from. If you like this as much as I do, you can purchase it HERE for yourself.

This headband is from Target. I love it! You can also get it HERE at Target.com but I have seen them in stores, so you should be able to pick one up there!

These owl bookends haunt me every time I go into Borders. I'm pretty sure they were made with me in mind. Aren't they cute? You can get them HERE for $25.

Every once and a while I come across deals that even I don't believe I am getting. These deals were unbelievable to me. Shirts for .50 cents, dresses for 1.50....I was blown away! Here is what I got!

Dark gray dress normally 14.50 on clearance for 2.97 take the additional 50% off of the clearance and it was 1.49.

Same dress but light gray. So same price.

take top was originally 8.50 on clearance for2.99 with the extra 50% off I got it for 1.50.

There are three tops here, normally 14.50 each. On clearance for .97 cents. Got it for .49 cents each.

Teal and cream tops normally 24.50 on clearance for 2.97 take the additional 50% off of the clearance and it was 1.49.

normally 12.50 on clearance for .97 cents, with the additonal 50% off it was .49 cents.

Was 14.50 on clearance for .97 cents with extra 50% off it was .49 cents

was 8.50 it was priced at .97 cents on clearance take an extra 50% off it was .49 cents

this top was normally 12.50 it was on clearance for .97 cents, with extra 50% off it was .49 cents.

Normal price would have cost me: $178
Clearance would have cost me: 21.66

So I took part in a swap before Christmas and things got so busy I forgot to post about it! I happen to have gotten the best partner ever! You all know how I love Owls....well here is what I got!Sorry the pictures aren't too great but I hung this up right away and then tried to get a picture without taking it down! She made this owl garland for me! It's so cute! The tummies of the owls spell out Merry Christmas!

I wanted one of these water bottles really bad! They are $20 each (which is too much for me to pay...because I am cheap!) but the Husband bought me this for Christmas and I was thrilled!

Hello!

So, my one year blogging anniversary is on Monday! It really got me thinking about this blogging world.

I have learned so much in just a year, and I can only thank blogging for that.

I was always a clearance gal, but now I am so much more.

I am a thrifter, I am a crafter, I'm a CVS deals worker...and so much more!

I never went into a Goodwill or Salvation Army (unless dragged unwillingly)
I never crafted unless it was for the holidays or a school project.
I never went to CVS to buy my beauty items.....everything is more expensive there, so why would I?

Now, 75% of my home decor items, outfits, and books come from a Goodwill store.
I have a craft room, a craft closet and so many crafts laying around its crazy. Not only that but I have learned how to sew (still working on that), I have learned to work with felt, patch up my own clothes, make my own wall art, my own purse, my own pillows, and so much more, all by myself, for half the price of buying them!

I get almost all of my cosmetic supplies for free now, through CVS....shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brushes, floss, tampons, air fresheners, body wash, lotion....and so much more!

I have also learned how to use coupons, and stack them with other coupons, and how to get free groceries (every now and again), also how to get steak for .39 cents!!( its possible ladies, I did it last week and they were yummy!).

I learned how to partake in swaps, and how lovely blogging friends can be and how generous! I have received so many gifts, presents, trinkets, letters, notes, emails from my readers this year! It was overwhelming at times!

I learned about giveaways, and I even won a few myself, as well as hosting quite a bit of them on this blog!

Most of all I have met you. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog every day, every week, every month, or how ever often you do stop by. Thank you for your comments and emails. Thank you for encouraging me to update and post about my deals.

Thanks for sending me emails asking me about my day, or how school was going. Thank you for sending me links to Etsy stores you thought I might like, or links to deals you thought I might enjoy. Thank you for making this one of the best years I have had in a long time!

Things are looking great in the life of me lately. I have a husband I love. I am on track with school and I received (earned...I earned them) great grades this year! I have a family I love and adore, and I have friends that have shown me what friendship really is!

You guessed it...I'm still sick! This terrible bug won't go away! I do however feel much better than I did! So I took full advantage and decided that since we are suppose to be snowed in tomorrow and I hadn't been out of the house in 6 (SIXXXX!!!) whole days. That today was my only chance to get out! So what did I do? I took a little shopping trip!

I'm going to put necklaces in them and my many wallets I have on top of my dresser for quick decision making without having to rummage through my drawers to find the wallet/ jewelry piece I want.

These are my fav flip flops. They are all strappy. I got them in white and brown when summer started last year. They were $5 for the longest time on the clearance rack! I just happen to find a pair in my size for 99 cents! Yippy!
Ok this shirt has a long story, but basically I have wanted this forever! It was 6.99 on clearance and I was just waiting for it to go cheaper. Well I found the cutest shoes for 6 dollars that match this top perfect...so I had shoes but not the top! Well this time it was on clearance even more for 3.49 so I finally bought it! I have to student teach some more this semester so I think this top, those shoes, a cute cardigan, some black dress pants and I will look....acceptable :)This shirt was 3 something on clearance.
I tried it on and notice a small hole (Grandma if you are reading this....this hole is your new mission). At Old Navy if you tell them about even the littlest of holes they will normally mark an already clearanced item down 50% more because they are already trying to get rid of it...so why not? So I got this shirt for 1.49(ish). This hole is so crazy small, if Grandma can't fix it no one will ever know it was there anyways, but it made for a cheap shirt...and it looks cute on!

Last I stoped at Debs on my way out of the mall...normally I find nothing there but I found this top for $3. It's cute....I think :)

These are some deals I got in December that I failed to post due to laziness and being super busy with finals.
I got a greeting card, a dip mix, and a piece of candy for 39 cents. I had a $5 off of any purchase of $5 or more at the hallmark store and my total came to $5 and some change, so I paid just had to pay for the change!

I got this Christmas Towel set at Goodwill, new with tags for 2.99. They were priced separately and were an additional 50% off. They are super cute and a great deal.

I got this dress at goodwill it was 4.99 but it was 50% off so I got it for 2.49. It was from target originally and still had the tags on it.

These glasses are super cute. They are green glass with little daisies impressed on them. They were 50 cents each. but they were 50% off so I got them for .25 cents each. which made them impossible to pass up.

I got these shoes at Goodwill They were 50% off so they were 1.99. They are new with tags from target as well.

Bought our dog two water bowls from Old Navy. They were 2.49 on clearance but it was an extra 50% off so they were 1.24 each.

All of the shirts below are from the take an extra 50% off of the clearance price at Old Navy...they were .79 each.

So these are just some of the deals I got in the month of December. Some are missing, but I was majorly slacking as you all know!

I can't find the exact boots that I bought (oops, I mean my parents bought me) but these are really close! They are sketchers and at normally $62 dollars HERE We got them at a Kohl's Early Bird sale (for part of my christmas present) for $37 plus a 20% off coupon on top of that! So we got them really cheap and they are soooo comfy and cute!

I bought a 4 pack of the white plates in the back with the black damask on them last year at Christmas time. I think they were 12.99 a pack and I got them for $1.29 for the 4 pack. And they are so pretty in person!

I'm sorry I have no remedy for the super cute make up...I just had to show it because I thought it was cute! I get all of my makeup on clearance at Target, so that is the only problem solver I have for that....but its never as cute as the button and knitted make up would be!

Hello Ladies!

I have gotten many urgent emails demanding to know what has happened to my blog! No worries, everything is fine! I will be up and running again in a few days! School has been really crazy lately, and also have been having some other minor....bumps....in my life. They aren't worth mentioning really just a few things that have made me feel a little down lately, but I mostly try to keep this blog upbeat and happy, because its my Happy Place, so we will move on to happier things!

I literally got 57 (yes count 'em) emails from you amazing ladies, Worried about my blog and me. Many of you were worried about my 10 day dry spell and I officially state that my dry spell is over and I will be back in full swing in a few days! I am sorry for those I have worried with my absence!

Also, I am sorry for all of the post that I have missed from your blogs! I would say I would try my best to catch up, but my google reader now says I am 2231 post behind, so sadly I will not have time to catch up! But I am back and will resume reading your blogs daily again! Thank you so much for being so undertstanding of my absence, and thank you sooooo much for all of the emails, and even a few packages that people have sent to me! I will post about your kindness soon because it means a lot to me that my blogging friends are so sweet and generous!

So again thank you so much to everyone who sent me an email, ship me out a package to cheer me up, or left a comment on my blog since I have been gone! I appreciate it soooo very much!

$1 Scarf day....and more!

Hello! So yesterday was $1 scarf day at Old Navy! I was going to post about it before hand so you all could go get your scarves but I forgot about it completely! It was the same morning at 90% off clearance at Target, and I was so excited about all of my finds that I forgot to go to Old Navy when they opened and get my scarves! I realized at about 1pm that I had forgotten and was whining to the hubby about my lost deal, when he persuaded me to go and check it out, "Hey, nobody wears a scarf but old ladies! There still might be some left" he said. I gasped! Old Ladies!?? What??? I wear a scarf every day in the winter. I know tons of ladies, old and young, that wear scarves during the winter. How dare he?
But I put my bewilderment aside for a second and thought that maybe he might be right (not about the old ladies) but about some scarves still being there! So I rushed to my store and low and behold they had every color still there! Not a lot of every color, but still every color! I was shocked and I did a little happy dance right there in the aisle and walked away with these colors:

I got gray, because I wore my gray one out last year and thought a new one would be nice. Will I throw away the old one then? Probably not! I got a green one because its my fav color, and the blue one because the color was soooo pretty, and two dark brown ones because I wanted one and so did my mom!

And lastly is this little gnome I made for a swap I am doing. I was a little unimpressed by him, so I think I will try to make another one for my partner and keep this one on my tree, I think my partner's will look really close to this but made with more careful stitching.

So this morning was the start of 90% off Halloween Clearance at Target. I got there when they opened with three other crazy ladies :) It was great to know I am not the only crazy in this town! We were very polite to one another, which I think it very important. I hate when people get snippy or angry over clearance. It's just not fun and ruins the whole point of clearance, because it makes you mad instead of happy about your deals! So I was very excited that the other ladies there were very nice!

Well....my total came to

$29.65 cents with tax.
I saved:$ 253.35
The cashier was so excited for me! She shouted " You saved over 250 dollars!!?"
I just smiled and said "Yup"

So much stuff! Will I got this crazy every year? Noooo. but Living on my own now and being married, I need to get some Halloween decorations and such for our place so I can decorate every year! So I went a little crazy this year. but next year....I'll hold myself back a little...promise :)

So on the way home from our trip we stopped at.......The original Kentucky Fried Chicken! Are you excited? Yeah....neither were we! lol. We saw it on the sign and knew we had to see it! So....some where in Kentucky (not sure where) we pulled off to check it out....here are the pics!

Our Tennessee Trip

So I am FINALLY going to show you all our family trip to Gatlinburg Tennessee from last month! Geesh. I am way behind! I seriously hope to get some scheduled post done today so that I have enough to keep my blog going since school is currently kicking my butt!

Garage Sales Tracker.

Hello!

So as I have come to find over the last year or so, you can often find things cheaper at garage sales or thrifty stores (GASP!), than on clearance. While I will always love my clearance deals, I have found that getting things through garage sales and thrift stores( though the items are slightly use) are much cheaper! I found a dish on clearance for $3 at Target to only see it in a garage sale for .25 cents a year later. So as you all know from my blog post, I have been leaning towards garage sells and thrifting for a while now!

So I was recently contacted to check out the website Garage Sales Tracker. This website was created to make thrifting and garage selling easy for you! It has a directory of tons of consignment stores and you can get driving directions to the stores all on this one website! They are about to start working with newspapers to have access to their garage sale listings, so those will be at your finger tips without having to buy your local paper. (if garage sales are the only reason you buy that days paper, then you will be saving money!). Also soon there will be an iPhone application to track these garage sales, which will allow for turn by turn directions. If you have a Iphone, how cool would that be?

They also have a coupon section (who doesn't love coupons?). Their coupon selection is pretty wide! There are coupons for Rite Aid(those would be really useful if you work the Rite Aid deals!). They also have grocery coupons, Midas coupons you can use for your oil changes, and even a Dip and Dots coupon (which I will be printing out to use!).

So go on over and check out Garage Sales Tracker ! I already have it bookmarked on my computer! I think it will be very beneficial to my thrifting, and garage selling!

So I am waaay behind on everything! Midterms are finally over! Yay! That is waaay exciting! Also Hubby was out of town this weekend and I don't like to stay alone so I had tons of company over at our place! It was nice to have people over and go shopping and have some girl time! So to give you your clearance fix, these are just some stragglers that were left behind some how from my Sept. folder. Since Oct. is almost over, I hope to empty out my Oct. folder mostly this week and next week, so you can see all of my recent clearance deals! And also to make room for November clearance deals that are sure to come in the near future! Enjoy!

I Love this thing! It's a traveling jewelry holder. Too cute. there's a spot of earrings, necklaces, rings...and much more. I wanted one of these for a while but couldn't find a cute one!
It was 9.99 I got it for 2.50. from the hallmark store.
Sheets from target. Got them new! I think the colors are too cute.

2.99 each for flat and fitted sheet. So It would have been about $6, I got them 1/2 off because they were the color of the week. So I got the whole sheet set for 2.99! yay!

When I stayed the night with my grandma recently she took me to a church rummage sale early the next morning and I got a few things....and here they are: This is a cute vintage cute tin box with a latch on it that I assume locks, but I haven't taken the time to figure it out yet!It was 50 cents. My grandma also gave me a whole set of sewing supplies when I was at her house and this tool box looking container now holds allllll of those goodies she gave me!

I also got this little snowman! He is too cute! He will be hanging in our window this winter! He says "Snowmen will melt your heart"

He was 50 cents!This is a vintage batman wall hang. He was 10 cents. Allen loves him :)
This Christmas Dolie is sooo cute! It was 10 cents. I am going to put some green scrapbook paper in a frame behind this dolie and hang it up at Christmas time! i think it will look cute! I will show it to you once I get it all put together!

The best part is....My grandma paid for my things at the rummage sale so these cheap prices were really cheap for me because I got them for FREE!

I need a little Help!

Ok so I need a little help....or not me really, but my fabulous sister in law does need your help! It's really easy to help out as well!

So here's the deal. She made a design for a very cute tote bag for a library contest at atyourlirbrary.org . There is a $500 prize for the design they decide to print, which won't be announced until much later. But they also have a $100 prize for the People's Choice.

In order to win the People's choice, all you have to do it go to flickr.com and sign in using your flickr account or you can use your yahoo account as well! Go to Christen's (my sister in laws) design and toward the left hand top of the page it says "Add to Faves", just click that to add her design to your faves! Whoever's design is saved to the most people's favorites wins the peoples choice prize money!

So I went to Old Navy a looooong time a go. My post were so backed up that this is from like 3 weeks ago. I went again friday and got even better deals than this! can't wait to share those once I get pictures and such! Im so far behind on my posts! I haven't shown you my Gatlinburg Tenn. trip from 3 weeks ago, and I have tons of other stuff to show you that I just cant seem to get caught up on. Everything is crazy right now, and Im trying to get ready for my midterms that are this week! But anyways Old Navy was having a huge clearance sale again. You got an extra 50% of the already low clearance price! It was exciting!

I got this white tank top ^
it was 3.99 on clearance. with an extra 50% off I got it for 1.99

Same as the white tank top but it has ruffles and its pink!

This black one is just like the white one. it was 3.99 and I got it for 1.99All three of those were originally 14.50!

Hello!

First off.....IWON $100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess my blog sponsor was holding a raffle of sort for their blogs that they sponsor ( I did not know about it) for a $100 prize! I opened my email to 50 new messages and thought "Oh my....people must have loved school suplies (my last post) " but that was not the case! I had won the $100 prize and everyone was congratulating me!!!! I was so excited that I danced around the house yelling "I won! I won!" and giggling like a fool over my excitment! You see for a girl that gets by on $20 a week $100 is like a million, and I couldn't be more excited about my win!

Ok here's the story. I always tell people to be persistent when it comes to clearance. To never settle for the first mark down. If you want that $50 handbag stalk it, and it will keep going down down down down in price. Trust me in that :)

I went to target and saw this bag:

I wanted. I NEEDED IT. I was tired of carrying around my book bag. I needed a huge purse that could double as a book bag. Well little did I know they invented the purse bag. It looks like a big purse but has a pouch for my pen, pencils, cell phone, and other such things. I loved it! I needed it! It was 14.99. WHOA....ok...I don't need it...I don't have to have it. On a girl working with $20 dollars a week that would take up over 3/4 ths of my weekly budget for just this bag.

So I went into stalker mode. As soon as we were two weeks into school I knew this bag had to be on clearance so I stopped by to visit it. It was! It was $9 and some odd change. I thought about it and decided against it. There were 5 left in the style I wanted, so I walked away. I waited a week and went back. This time they were on sale for $6 and some odd change. There were 3 left. Do I get it? Do I not get it? Do I need it? It can be tough to decided :) I decided no I didn't need it.

Last trip I totally forgot about the bag and just happened to stumble into them. There were tons in every color and style but that one I had wanted. I started to instantly have regret. Why didn't I buy it at $7? I was shopping with my friend and she was trying to cheer me up about my lost clearance find when I said "If you were a kid and you wanted this bag and your mom said no, where would you lay it down?" my friend said "Toy aisle?". We darted to the toy aisle and there was no such luck. "Oh well, It wasnt meant to be" I said. We were headed out the door and I said "Buuut...if you were working here and you saw the bag and didn't put it in the school supplies where would you restock it?" my friend said "Purses!" "Right!" so we practically ran to purses and there it was! The only one left sitting there waiting for me!

The other styles said $3 something but mine still said $7 something. I took it to the self scanner and scanned it. it came up $3 something. My friend and I did a little happy dance and I walked away with my purse book bag for $3 and some odd change.

So clearance. When to buy and when to not? Well...You gotta know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. I got by lucky on this one!

Hello!

Just some recent target school supplies on clearance!

I love this! Of Course I didn't take a picture of it in full view...what was I thinking? Its a ruler that collapses which is awesome because I was having a hard time with my full length ruler in my bag going to school. I need it for my geometry in teaching class. Was 1.49 and I got it for .37 cents.

I always look out for cheap dress sock for my mom to wear to work. I always find them on clearance at target. It's a three pack of socks, it was 4.99 and I got it for 1.24.
This print on this bag was too cute! It makes a great pencil holder. It was 1.99 and I got it for .49 cents. Too cute!Cute note card. were $1 and I got them for .50 cents. I got them because of this:

Notebook filler paper for .18 cents each! Great deal!
Stocked up on the scissors! I can never find scissors in our home! We lose them more than we use them!

My Favorite Etsy shops and a scarf swap!

So I am an avid lover of Etsy! I have recently bought a few things from there, and I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite shops! 3 to be exact! First off is a shop called:

PuppyDogsNPolkaDots . My friend Kathie @ my net finds had a giveaway and I won tons of stuff but one of them was a Key Fob. I looooved this key fob and went on a search for more. That is when I came across puppydogsNpolkadots! Her key fobs are well made, reasonably priced, colorful, and she has so many different styles it's crazy! The delivery was fast and she was super friendly! Here is a picture of some of their many options of Key fobs:

Why a Key fob? Well I never would have gotten one if it weren't for Kathie. I would have had no idea what I was missing out on. I have huuuuge purses. My keys get lost so easily...NOT ANY MORE! The key fobs are brightly colored and decent sized so you can find them quickly! Also if you don't want to take your purse you can throw them on your wrist and you are good to go!

No!....well....yes. They are gummi bear soaps! They look yummy (but don't eat them!)
They are my favorite thing right now. I love when people come out of my bathroom and ask me why I have gummi bears in there! They smell great and leave your hands smelling great as well! Ruth's fun shop has many other soaps that look just as yummy! You can check them out for yourself!
Look! I finally found something special to hold my gummi bears! Thanks Kathie for this cute green glass! Doesn't this little display look so cute and bright!? It always makes me happy to see it!

Sooooo...I went to see Taylor Swift a couple of days ago. It was awesome. She is the last concert I have planned for the year, in a way that makes me sad because I have nothing to look forward to, but also that makes me very happy because these concerts do not fit in well with my school schedule at all, and It is midterms next week and I need to start to focus on them! So I am super glad that I have no more concerts this year! I also want to thank my mom for paying for the tickets, driving us up there in her car, paying for dinner, buying me a super cool souvenir, and just being a great mom to her poor college student daughter!

Hello,

I know I tend to keep my blog happy and fun.....but to start this entry I must be a debbie downer. One of my best friends is going through some tough stuff right now. Her grandma had a stroke. They are not sure if she will make it through the night or not. This friend of mine is one of the best grand daughters I know, and she is always there to help her grandparents out. She is a nurse and pretty much told me that this type of stroke it not good and will mostly likely lead to her grandmother passing away. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We all know that I talk about my grandmas frequently and how much they mean to me, and how heart broken I would be if I were in her spot at the moment. So please keep her and her family in your thoughts as you go through your day. It would mean a lot to me.

alright on to some not so serious things.

Things have been so busy lately! I keep getting amazing things in the mail, and I feel so blessed! My Blogging friend Eve @Through Eve's looking glass. was holding a contest/ giveaway of sorts! You just had to shoot her some ideas on what she could do as artwork! Did I win? Not really :) I came in second! But she still gave me a prize...or should I say a box of prizes!
Here is what I got:

A picture frame that Eve made! It is very cute! It has jewels and a cute quote that says "Dare to dream" It even came with a cute barbie picture already in it! I also got 2 bath fizzes, a stamp that says "there can only be one queen and I'm it", sticky notes that say where, what,when and why, a drama queen magnet, a hello kitty note pad (looove hello kitty), a set of strawberry coasters, and a very sweet card from Eve!

Also not pictures is some lip gloss she also got me! It is the best! It smells yummy and it looks great on my lips! but sadly when I opened her box all of the stuff fell to the floor so I didn't find the lip gloss until days later under the kitchen table. lol. so that is why it is not pictured! But I did find it and I love it!

Ok, on to the other gift I received in the mail. It is from Sullivan McPig and his owner Carien over at the blog: The Life and Travels of Sullivan McPig. they had posted an post a while back with some yummy looking candy in it! I told them I want some and she was sweet enough to agree to send me some! I in return am sending them some things in the mail! I cannot wait to see if they like what I am sending them! I will share it with you all once they recieve their package!

This is what I got:

ekkk!! the post office sent along a very long note saying how sorry they were that my package was DESTROYED! So sweet of them...eh? I was a little upset because I was afraid that some of my things might have fallen out and been lost. Or perhaphs it was a hungry postal worker who could smell this amazing candy threw the package and just tore it open because they couldnt wait another hour for their lunch break. Either way...I forgive the post office....but dont let it happen again...oK? :)

Im pretty sure it was these guys that sparked my "I must have these!" on Their blog! I was right too! These are super super yummy! I'm not sharing these with the husband...or anyone else for that matter :)
The chocolate lollipops are to die for. The frog/ mouse were right up there with the cappocino chocolate. They are super yummy! And then drop toffee are those little guys....I did not like them at first, but now I love them. they took a second to get use too!

Goodwill tripping...

My goodwill trips are starting to get all backed up! So I am going to post a lot in one post! Don't think I got these all in one trip! I mean I am thrifty...but most of the time Im a little thrifty at a time! Remember I only get 20 dollars a week to shop on! That includes if I want a drink at school, or if I want to catch lunch with a friend!

Oh and before we get started a lot of you have been asking about school! School is going great! I am super busy, and things a really hectic most of the time. I started student teaching last week. So far I love the teacher I work with and I love the class. They are too cute! It just reminded me why I wanted to be a teacher. Sometimes I forget, but stepping in that classroom was a good reminder of what I am working so hard to get to!

So on to the Goodwill finds!

I found this green glass vase/bowl. It was too cute and it matched those mini glasses I got a while back if you remember!
I was a 1.99 and that was the color of the week, so I got it for .99 cents!
Snow man! Isn't he cute!? I love getting christmas decoration for cheap at goodwill!
It was .99 cents but it was black too! So it was only .49 cents!
I got this one on a different trip! I love it! It is so 70s vintage and cute!
It's going to hold paper clips or something like that!
It was .99 cent. I didn't get it half off :) But I love it!I got Austin Power and Stranger than Fiction on DVDThey were 2.99 each. They were half off so I got them both for 2.99! 1.50 each is a good deal I think! I can't wait to watch them. I haven't seen the Austin powers one is a loooong time.
Ok...Why did I get this apple? I have no idea. It was lime green and perfect and new!
I actually found a place to sit it and I looove it there, but I had no idea what I was going to do with it when I got it!it was .99 cent and it was half off so it was .49 cents!

Hello!

So I have been kind of nostalgic for my childhood books! I have been recently collecting The babysitters club series, the box car children series, and the Little House of the Prairie series as well! Well, I have been getting them all for .69 cents each from goodwill as I come across them! Well someone donated half of their Little House of the Prairie collection and I snapped them up!

I got these 5 for under 3 dollars total, since I got an extra 20% off for being a student this week. So it was a great deal! I am slowly getting my childhood collections back! I am so excited!

While I was at Goodwill I picked up these little birdies! So cute right?

They were:.99 a piece. They were the 50% off color so I got them both for .99 total!
Great price! They needed a little bit of cleaning up as you might be able to tell from the picture, but now they are perfect!

I got it on clearance at Walmart...for $2 I think.
I turned it into this!Another pic!
I love the way it turned out!

It is wrapped in fabric. I used spray glue and sprayed it on the trashcan and then smoothed the fabric over it. Then glued on the ribbon on the lid to hid mistakes that had to be made to cover the lid...it was very tricky!

Project cost me about $4 dollars total!

It looks great in my bathroom!

Hello!

So I am back from my little Vacation! We went to Gatlinburg Tennessee. As always we know it is going to take me a couple of days to get around and catch up on all of your blogs, but It was a lot of fun....and really rainy on our vaca! I have some great pictures and some great clearance buys and such to show you (soon...I promise!) but for today I want to talk about something different...

So we all know I have great blogging friends and I gush about them all the time! Right? So this will be no different! I opened up a package today that I got in the mail and this is what I saw:

Also, The green vase on the left, I almost actually purchased it today but was already spending too much money and decided to wait and see if I could get it on a half off day! And then here it is! Too awesome! I love both of these pieces of green glass! They are just too cute and will look great in my collection!

So myblogspark gave me another amazing package of goodies! I got them in the mail yesterday!

I got a metal water bottle, a pair on binoculars, a flashlight, a sling style backpack and a free package of all 4 flavors of their new nut clusters! Yum!
So I did a little review on each flavor. Remember this is strictly to my taste and what I like, so If I don't like Almonds and you do, then this product still may be for you!
These guys are 100% natural and yuuuummy!
ok here we go on the four different types in order of my personal liking:

1.Nut lovers- Do I love nuts? No. I am actually anti nuts. Brownies? No nuts please! Carrot cake? No nuts please! These little guys...YUMMY! cashews,pecans, peanuts granola and a touch of honey goodness!

2.Honey roasted Peanut- I loooove honey roasted peanuts, its almost the only way to get me to eat nuts. They are so sugary and good! Well this flavor taste like Honey roasted peanuts mixed with granola (and of course with a touch of honey), it is so yummy!

3. Roasted cashew- My fav nut when it is plain all my itself is a cashew. no sugar, no salt, no nothing, and I will still eat a cashew! These however were not my fav. Not even close. I think I like cashews salted or plain, but not sugary. It just doesn't seem right for a cashew to be sugary!

4.Roasted Almonds- yuck. lol. I hate Almonds. It took a lot of me to try these. They made eating almonds bearable, but still not pleasant enough for me. If you love Almonds though, you should give them a try!

So recently deals!

These are so cute!
These were 2.50 and I got them for 1.97 not much of a deal, but we know how much I love lime green right? These are actually measuring cups! I think they look bigger in the picture than they are. The biggest one is 1 1/2 cups. I've already used them, and they are great! You can find them at Joann's Fabric Store, if you like them!

I found a new store! It just opened in our mail. It's called "Glitter". It has toooooons of accessories and everything EVERYTHING is a dollar! That is sooo exciting to me!

Hello!

So These are the things I picked up from my trip to Chicago to see Britney in concert!
Forever 21 has a new line of clothes for us fuller figured women!
I picked up the shirt above. I have a really hard time paying full price for things, but It was so cute! I just couldn't help it! It was $17 dollars.

So While I was in Chicago I came acrossed something that made me skip for joy....
A Forever 21 Accessories store! You heard me right! It was a huge store just full of there accessories. No clothes, just their amazingly cute necklaces, handbags, rings, headbands and more! I picked up these two things!
These two head bands came in a package together for 3.80. They are like braided leather. They are so cute and look great in my hair! I love headbands so much!

I have been looking everywhere for a Skeleton key necklace for under $10. They are really popular right now but I could never find a cheap one! Well these came in a pack for $4.80! I was sooo excited when I saw these! I loooove Forever 21. They have fashionable stuff for such a great price! I have only worn it once and I got a compliment on it instantly!

Ok so anyways.... all of my blogging friends have been posting about their Halloween decorations. When I mentioned putting out our decorations already, the hubby was not too pleased. "Shouldn't you at least wait until October gets here?" he asked. I thought he probably had a point but I just couldn't wait anymore. So I did a little sneak attack!

I decided that I woukd put out one Halloween/Fall decoration and day and see when exactly the husband would notice!

Day 1:

Pumpkin soap in the bathroom...I knew he wouldn't notice this one!

Day 2:
Little wooden Pumpkin placed next to the soap...still didn't notice.

Day 3:
This blanket is so bright plus it is on the couch, he had to notice it right? Nope.

Day 4:
Candle display on the coffee table....still didn't notice.

Day 5:
Fake Jack O Latern candle on the ledge dividing our kitchen and dining room. He had to notice this right? It lights up! nope...still didn't notice!

Day 6:
Someone in our family made this for my mom and she passed it on to me. I hung this in the window. Did he notice....nope....lol.
So I was brave this day and added this too:

I put it in the window ledge...he didnt notice this either. lol.

Day 7:

Added this wooden pumpkin to the top of our DVD rack.
This orange candle with cute topper to our coffee table.
This glass pumpkin to the coffee table too!

He had to notice all of this right!!!???
Nooo!

Day 8:

Wooden blocks that spell halloween!

Jack O Latern that lights up!
These are from our camper when I was a kid. We would go camping and hang these on our camper at Halloween time. I begged my dad for these last year and he finally let me have them! They are so nosolgic for me.This is what they look like close up!

Did the husband notice? YES! Finally!

We had a really big laugh over how I snuck all of these out and he never noticed! It was fun for me, and brought a smile to my face every day to put something new out and have him not even see it! Too funny!

Colts Game, and Deals!

Hello!

Ok I have a few deals to show you but first here are some pictures from my first ever Colts game! It was so exciting I have to tell you all about it!

This is one of my dearest friends Lindsey and me! She was the lucky duck who scored these tickets! They are so hard to get your hands on! We are in a bar before the game with some of her friends from work.

Us walking up to Lucas Oil Stadium! See that rectangle thats like a big window in the front of the stadium? Well, when you are inside its amazing...are you ready...

I think you have to click and make it larger to get the whole effect. But it is a view of the skyline of Indianapolis through that windowish thing! I loved it. It was so pretty.

Oh yeah...and WE WON! It was a weird game actually! But Im glad we pulled it off!

Hello!

So, I'm back in town! The concert was amazing! I picked out a few of my favorite pics from the concert and I thought I would share them with you guys! So here they are:

I think the lighten was weird at the arena so we look a little weird...but its an ok picture!

This was my fav. This umbrella was so pretty and she looked so pretty up in the air singing on it! This picture does not do it justice at all!

I'm going to stop there because I could go on forever!

The outfit changes were amazing! The tour is called the circus, and a circus it is! It was basically 1/2 circus 1/2 Britney concert. If you are on my facebook I have about 100 pictures uploaded so you can look at them all there! Oh, and Britney even sang a song live! It even sounded pretty good! I was shocked!

We had tons of fun! It was in Chicago which is a 4 hour drive, so we did not get home until about 5am. I am exhausted because I had class and had to get up at 9am so I am running on very little sleep!

I did a little bit of shopping and have some things to show you guys soon! I even got some britney stuff, and I will show you that later too!

So I'm off to bed....but I will leave you with a little green glass!

This bowl might look familiar because I already have it! But I use it to hold my ribbon in my craft room, well this one is its mini me! Its so little and cute! The bigger one is my favorite bowl though! So I couldn't pass up the smaller version even if I don't know what I am going to do with it!

I love the print, so bright and fun!It was 14.99 and I got it for 2.97 at Michael's!

These cucumber melon candles were only 1.79 at michael's last week! So cheap!
I have to admit that all of the candle smells that were 1.79 were gross except for this one!
and there were only two of them left, and tons of the other smells, so I guess other people agreed with me!

Hello!

I have some pretty amazing blogging friends, I will be the first to admit it! I love you guys so much! you brighten my days, and encourage me to write and to shop for great deals!

Today I went to my mailbox. I am currently involved in a swap and I was half hoping ( even though I knew full well it wasn't) that my swap package would be sitting in my mail box. When I opened it there was a package key!

Packages don't fit into our little slots, so there are 4 medium sized lockers that hold bigger packages and if you get one there will be a key in your slot telling you which locker your package is in and then you use the key to open the locker and get your package!

I practically fell running into my home and trying to tear open the box as I ran! It wasn't my swap package! It was a gift from my blogging friend Kathie! A very surprise gift! I had no idea it was coming at all!

So I opened it with camera in hand:I was so excited when I saw it was from Kathie! She knows my taste very well. She gives me tons of tips on cute little things all the time!

How cute is that? That lid on it makes it totally super cute! I love it!

Love this! Kathie suggested maybe using it for a soap dish! What a great idea. But don't I really want to cover up the "I love you" It's my fav part! I looooooove this. It is tooo tooo cute!
I'll have to think about what to do with these...It normally takes me a 24 hour period to find places for my green glass!

Crest Sonic Spinbrush Review!

I can't lie...Since school started up, I have had no problem finding the time to post, and I hope it stays that way. What I am having trouble with is keeping up with all 57 of your blogs! So will my comments stop? No way! Will they maybe take longer for me to get to....heck yes! So, sorry about that! But have no fear because I will get to them alllllll.

So on to the review! I received two free Spinbrushes! I got a red one which is Pro Clean and a blue one which is Pro Whitening.

So I tried the Pro Clean for the first week.

Man oh man! This is my new love! This little brush is amazing! My teeth felt so clean and awesome after I was done with it. I love it so much!

Then the Pro whitening one, I tried for a week as well.

I honestly could not tell the difference. My teeth felt just as clean as with the Pro Clean one, and they didn't seem to look any whiter necessarily. Im not sure what the real difference is in the two, besides the fact that The whitening one says it has Whitening bristles.

I love them both though. They both made my teeth sparkly and great! and for only around $15 why not try it? If your old tooth brush needs to be kicked to the curb, or you were thinking of trying an electric tooth brush, give one a try! It was much better than my old electric tooth brush for sure! Also they have great coupons on their website, sometimes up to $3 dollars off, so that only makes your new spinbrush about $12!

Owls and a Blanket!

So some recent deals I got:

This is a body pillow case from Walmart. It was $3 on clearance. It use to be almost $9.
I looove owls, and there are 4 owls on this pillow case. They all look like the one above but just different colors! I'm not sure what I am going to make from it yet, but these owls were just too cute!
I got these 2 for a dollar at Dollar tree. I have been wanting these for a while!
What are they? Ice trays! They make the ice thin so you can drop them into water bottles! I hate trying to crush up ice to get it in there or drinking the water warm!
Im in love with these!I picked up this cute Halloween blanket at Goodwill for 3.99.
It still had its original tags! I love getting new stuff at goodwill!
It super soft and will look great thrown across the couch for an added Halloween touch!

My scanner broke, not sure when I am going to be able to scan in receipts for a while. Makes me sad! Wish Epson would sponsor my blog by giving me a new scanner. Will it happen? Probably not!

So that candle was free in the ad but with the $3 off coupon from the paper a coupon of weeks ago it actually makes it a $3 money maker.
Milk after ebcs was .99 cents
Candy was $1 after ebcs
dawn was .47 cents after coupon.

So that left me with a profit of .53 cents in ebcs. Yippy!

Every 3 months or so, I get it in my head that my blankets in my closets are stale. lol.
Are they stale?...no. But I get it in my head that they need to be washed if they are just sitting up in my closet all folded and stuffy. So I took them all down (including the pillows for our guest) and threw them on the couch to force myself to see them and to wash them! Well...my dog thought I laid them out for him...obviously!

I'm almost to my 100th post. This means...Giveaway time is coming soon! I found these at a Goodwill! I love them! They are super unique and green (of course)! They are like little shot glasses. Well, that's what they will be used for anyways! lol. They were .49 each but black was the 50% off color so I got them for .25 cents each!

This glass matched the others but it is much bigger! Too cute! It might become my spit cup for when I brush my teeth...I know you needed to know that :)
This one was .99 cents and it was half off so it was .49 cents!

This tank top is super cute! It was 3.99 at goodwill but was the color of the week so I got it for 1.49! It was new with the tags still on and everything! I love it! The store it was from had them on sale today (I just happened to see them) for $7 dollars. I laugh at $7! :) I'm weird.

Also, The Queen of Clearance is under construction! If something looks out of place that's why!

Hello!

So I told you I would show you what my friend gave me to replace that little spice rack that didn't hold hardly any of my buttons.....Well it was...AN EVEN BIGGER SPICE RACK!

This is the spice rack. It was $5 at a garage sale.
I took all the spices out and cleaned all the little glass containers with soap and water.
Then I filled them with buttons!It held 90% of my buttons! Yay! That is good!
So...now....
Do I paint it white....or do I leave it the way it is?

Hello,

School starts in 6 days. I'm super nervous, don't ask why. I just always get this way! I have to take the Praxis test this Sat. I'm super nervous about that too! I'm just a big ball of nerves right now, I'm probably no fun to be around. Sadly I know that once school starts back up these post will be fewer and far between. I am just warning you now. I just don't have as much time or money to shop during the school year. I would look for a post on here once a week and that one post will probably fall on the weekend. If I have more time to shop and to post, or course I will, but my goal is to post at least once a week. And of course I will try my best to keep up with your blogs!

On to some recent deals:

I got this on the Clearance rack at michael's for 47 cents!
It's lime green :) I loooove lime green!
plus thats one of the colors of my kitchen!

Loved this cupcake print fabric! It was too cute!
Same print is at my local fabric store for 7 or 8 dollars.
I got it for $2 (a yard that is) at walmart. The walmart in the town over is the only one around with a fabric section still. They are slowly clearancing it all out and getting rid of it, it makes me sad to see it go, but happy to get it for so cheap!
The polka dot print were $1 a yard! so exciting.
I got two yards of ribbon
1/2 yard of the three different polka dotted fabric
and 1 yard of cupcake print for 4.18
not too bad!
Last but not least. My blogging friend Kathie over at My Net Finds
knew how much I loved cute little birds and she told me about this pair of cute salt shakers
at Pier One Imports. She also knows Im cheap, so she pointed them out for their great $3 price tag! No clearance, no sale, just $3 all the time!

Alrighty. So I have been a bad blogging friend towards the end of the week and for sure over the weekend because I went away and forgot to tell you I would be gone! This is a pack of clear stamps I found on the dollars rack at target. it was 50% off so I got it for .50 cents! Now I can stamp any phrase I want! That will be exciting!

Hello!

So the Hubby and I really do not have much in common....honestly. I love him and adore him, but he loves video games, rock music, and computers and I love shopping, writing, fashion, and deals! We do however both love music in general, and cuddling on the couch with a good movie, traveling, reading a good book, and....DISNEY MOVIES!

We both loooove Disney movies. We collect Disney movies and recently we decided that we want our computer/ craft room to be a Disney themed room. So of course I went shopping! These are just a few things I have found so far!

So I posted earlier about how to get a free quart of Gidden paint sent to you in the mail. I got their white linen paint sent to me because I had a few things I needed to paint white for our craft room. So here are some before and afters!

It caught my attention because of the owls, and I wanted to save them, but they just didn't make it through the painting process! Here is what it looks like now:

It's holding my scrapbook paper. I have 100s of sheets of scrapbook paper.....and I don't scrapbook. I think I am nuts!
I do use it quite often for other things though. I just found such a good deal and then I was over whelmed by all that scrapbook paper and I had no where to put it! Glad I found this magazine rack to hold it all!
Ok. So remember this little spice rack?
Well I was going to paint it and use it as a button holder...right?

Looks good right!? I loved it. until I realized it only holds about 1/100th of my button collection. boo :( I was so sad. I didn't know how many buttons I had! Well the next day my friend gave me something to use for a button holder (I will show it to you in a later post!)
So now it holds...Glitter! And because of it being a spice rack and having holes on top like a salt shaker, I can shake out the glitter on to my projects! It's perfect! It shakes just the right amount of glitter out!
Then I bought this cute little owl! She is concrete! She is super heavy!
My friend Jen was unsure of her cuteness, but I told her once I painted her she would be super cute! So I did paint her and check her out!

I love her...but I always regret painting things once I do!
Does she look better white? Should I have kept her concrete color?
eep!

How to find cheap books!

Hello!

Remember my "where to find cheap DVDs post"? Well this is "Where to find cheap books post". Enjoy my tips!

1. Library.

Duh right? Yeah we all know that books are free (as long as you tunr them back in on time) at your public library, but our library does something amazing!
Once every other month or so they have a book sale. You go in and everything you can fit into a grocery bag is $2. It's amazing really! Call you Local Library or go in and ask them if they have something like this! It is awesome!

2. Thrift Stores

Some thrift stores way over price books in my opinion. I never pay more than a dollar for a book...it's my rule.
Our Goodwill has paper backs for .69 cents and hardbacks for 1.99
So go check yours out and see what they have!

3. Half Price Book Store

Do you have one of these?
You can check out their website HERE and see if one is in your area.
Almost of of their books are half off the cover price...
but I'll share a little secret.
In the very back corner of the store (at most locations)
You will find a clearance section. There things are normally $3 or less....
but normally you can find a $1 section and this is where I get 95% of my books!
You can find most popular fiction books there and some good autobiographies.
This is really the best place to find books. Esp. for your kids. In the kids section there is almost always a $1 clearance section too.

4. Amazon, Half.com...and many more websites.

Amazon is my fav, but Half.com has some good deals too. You can of course find them on ebay, overstock.com and other places, but I prefer the two mentioned before.
You can normally get books for a penny and then have them shipped for 2.99 so its 3 dollars all together.

5. Garage sales.

You can find a lot of good books at garage sales for .25 cents, .50 cents, and a $1.

Product Review: Bounce Dryer Bar.

Hello!

As soon as I saw this I had to run out and buy it! Why are they making laundry so easy on us now a days!?

Welcome to the Bounce dryer bar:

This little guy is so easy! You peel off the tape on the back of the bar and stick it on your dryer. Then you just forget about it for 2 months (ish). Depending really on how much laundry your household does! I've had mine in my dryer for almost a month now and I think its close to being half way used. So they are probably about right with their timing.

Pros:

1. Stick it and forget it. I like not having remember a dryer sheet. It makes laundry quicker...yes by only a second, but still, if I forget my dryer sheet my clothes are all clingy and static(y)! No one likes that!

2. My husband never puts dryer sheets in with our clothes, he just can't be bothered too! So now when on the rare occasion he does laundry I don't have to worry about telling him to make sure to put it in, cause it is already in there!

3. It was about $3.30 and with $1 off coupon is was $2.30 (prices may vary from store to store and state to state), that is how much I pay for a box of dryer sheets, so its no difference to my pocket book to switch to this bar!

4. No static. Does its job perfectly!

5. Easy to change bars. Your old bar slides out and then new one just slides right in...so easy!

Cons:

1. No...or very little smell. It doesn't smell at all to me....it might to other people, but not to me. It is definately not as strong as their dryer sheets smell, but I can look past it because my detergant smells so good, it doesnt really matter.

2. after one dry...it was unattractive....lol. Does it matter....no not really. but it caught me off gaurd that it went from white to blue in color when I did my first load of colors in the dryer. No big deal really...just a little unattractive. who else besides you looks in your dyer anyways?

Scale from 1-10. 10 being best and 1 being worst?

I give it a 9.

Go try it for yourself. I recommend it!

This is the bird coupon holder that I made a little while ago.
It is about 9 inches long and and 4 1/2 inches wide.
You can use it to hold anything really. It is made of felt.
I have been carrying mine around in my purse for almost 6 months now and it has held up nicely. You can go look at the post from a while back about how I make them to decide if you would like to purchase this one or not!

These are bobby pins made with (assumed) vintage buttons. (We found them in my great grandmothers button box, so we can only assume vintage...not guaranteed). The buttons appear to be plastic, but I don't think they look plastic at all. These are not water proof or resistant. I would not suggest wearing them in a pool, or taking a shower with them in. They are are a little over 2 and 1/2 inches long. The buttons are a little smaller than an inch.
You get two bobby pins in the set.

This ring is made from the same buttons as above. The button is a little less than 1 inch.
The ring is adjustable.

If you would like any of these things they are $2.50 for each item.
That includes shipping. I think that's a pretty good price!
I just want to get them out of my "finished crafts" box.

I found two cute things at Goodwill today! I thought I would make just a quick little post about it!

I'm so excited to finally be finding some blue glass for my blue and green room! Yes I will always love green glass the most, but I always wanted green and blue and it is nice to finally be finding so blue glass!
This vase is so tiny and cute!
It was .99 centsthe color of the week was red so I got it for .49 cents!

I have been eying (is this spelled right?) this little spice rack for a while! Too cute!
Am I going to use it for spices? Of course not. lol.
I cam going to use it to organize some of my huge buttons collection!
oh and Im painting it white....like right now. so it will match my decor in my crafty room.

Hello!

So I walked into my Joann Fabric Store today and it is a mess! I almost gasped and ran for the door. I thought they were close and just forgot to lock the door!

No worries though, they are just remodeling. It looks like its headed in a much better direction! I hope they get a better air conditioner too, it is always so hot and muggy in that store!

I found some great deals, and I know this because the lady that rung them up said " Oh my goodness you got great deals here!" I love when they say that! So here they are!

These are the CVS deals I got this Sunday! As always if you want to try to figure out the CVS deals I suggest the blog that helped me out, and you can find it HERE. If you need any extra help after that, shoot me a email and I will try my best to help you out!

I have a receipt to show you...but it would not make any sense because the lady messed it up and then had to refund me money and then messed it up again and refunded me more money. By the time I left I was so confused. I got out to my car and went home in a daze of confusion. When I got home I realized she only charged me .29 cents for all of the above.
It should have been about a dollar though, So I'm not really sure what she did.
Basically the foundation was 9.99 with 9.99 in EBCs making it free.
I had a dollar off coupon though so it was a dollar money maker for the foundation.
The candy was 1.98 with a dollar off coupon making it .99 cents
The highlighters are .99 this week.
There is a coupon HERE for a dollar off making this a .01 cent money maker.
(you can do the highlighter deal with out any EBCS, so its easy for everyone to do!)
